  • When I was a kid (oh so many years ago) Exton was synonymous with one thing: retail shopping. It was a commercial waste land dominated by The Exton Square Mall and dotted with countless strip malls (does anyone remember Clover and I. Goldberg?) with only a Chi Chi’s to sustain the many hungry shoppers. Boy have things changed. Nowadays there are some legitimate restaurants popping up all over the Exton area and our Realtor friend Kim Wood has documented some of her favorites.

  • At last weekend’s Restaurant Festival we rolled out a red carpet by the WC Dish booth to celebritize our local people, chefs and cuisine. All the flash photos left stars in our eyes and led me to dish about my fave food celebrities.

The basic idea; on specific nights throughout September and October the Dilworthtown Inn will be featuring specialists and guest Chefs to prepare a custom menu for the Inn for one night only. • images-3.jpgIn the mood for a thick, classic milkshake, a burger made just the way you want it (without all the crazy toppings or portions from chain restaurants) and boardwalk quality fries?

  • The weather was gorgeous, the food was amazing and plenty of people showed up (I think that’s a bit of an understatement). By all accounts this year’s Chester County Restaurant Festival was a resounding success. Understandably, some of the skeptics would point out that as a sponsor of the festival we have to say good things about the event. Well, as my role model and 3rd grade obsession Lavar Burton always use to say,”You don’t have to take my word for it.”

Here’s what some of the other attendees had to say about the Restaurant Festival:
    The Kellehers- a family blog
Tasty Food for You - a Philly food blogger
The BBQ Bachelor - exactly what it says
