  • On my usual drive home from work down Gay Street on Friday, I noticed the sounds and picket signs of some protesters outside of Gilmore’s Restaurant. I cranked up the heat and rolled down my window to hear shouts of “Boycott Gilmore’s!” and “Save the Animals… say no to Foie gras!”

    It appeared to be a group of animal rights activists who were not happy with the fact that Gilmore’s serves Foie gras and hosts a regular Foie Gras Extravaganza event.

    While many fine-food lovers enjoy this dish without batting an eyelash others are being very vocal about about the way it is prepared are taking a stand against it.

    Hello everyone, I just found out about a cool food event that is happening tonight! It’s a wing eating contest! A friend called me to see if I could join him to make his team of 3 complete.
