Loved it! (Ouch! I just read the reviews below…where were the people who gave the poor reviews eating?) For our table of 6, we all enjoyed our waitress, the Bay seasoned fries were fantastic, and all the sandwiches were great. The atmosphere was roomy, and we ventured upstairs to book a room for a party…loved it!

Another sports bar/restaurant with so-so food. Only here it is over-priced. If you’re hungry, skip this place and hit up one of the finer local establishments (Doc Macgrogan’s, Limoncello,Buddy’s, etc.). If you’re here to grab a beer with a buddy, then it is ok. Overall a C.

Food is below par for the price, but the late night scene is enjoyable.

Their food was slop and overpriced.

I ate with some friends last night at Barnaby’s. Several of my friends ordered the Chesapeake Chicken Sandwich. I ordered the Barnaby’s Best Burger with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. I should have eaten at Buddy’s burgers because the food I ate was poor. I am not drinking for a while and did thoughly enjoy my iced tea though. The potatoes were clearly out of a box. The burger for being cooked medium was super dry. I was appalled that they would put food like that on a table and expect you to enjoy it without being intoxicated. But the iced tea was good. The service was slow and nonpersonal.

I heard good things but was sadly disappointed. The decor was the most upsetting, they really ruined the previous Turks Head interior. I went for a “girls night out” without the kids and we were all disappointed. Food was predictable for a TGI Fridays type of place, which is a place that I don’t tend to frequent if I have a babysitter!! I had had higher hopes for a downtown West Chester restaurant.

food is great been there serveral times and never been dissapointed. if you don’t stop by you are really missing a good meal for a decent price. try it you will like it.

Stay away from the pasta or any entree in fact….the appetizers are good bar food and the burgers…that is it.

Glad to see they left the transparent floor in, there were rumors it was coming out when Turks Head left.

My first visit to Barnaby’s was a Sunday evening. We sat in the back patio area and I was very impressed. You felt like you were in someone’s yard…nice landscaped area and it was quiet. Food was pretty good, too !

I know it sounds funny to say but I am happy that a smaller chain restaurant is in West Chester now. Decent food, nice atmosphere, and very good prices. If you are looking for somewhere to eat with reasonable prices, this is it.

About the layout and decor. Ok, it is a chain restaurant, however, lots of TVs make this place a first pick for sports, 4 bars that do not infringe on dining, an outdoor patio, spacious rooms, and it looks clean and upscale … not your average Friday’s.

    i heard someone say they weren’t a big fan of TGI-Barnaby’s. . .

    Typical sports bar food.

Review Guidelines
Be Respectful. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Although the old saying, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all," is swell, we encourage constructive feedback (ie, be polite), and recommend backing-up your comments with evidence/witnesses.

Be Honest. Look where it got Abe Lincoln. Well, before the evening at the theater.

We don't recommend complaining just for the sake of it (see number 1), but if you have a legitimate comment, it should be shared. Also, don't hesitate to disagree with other comments, even if your opinion is in the minority. If patrons aren't honest about their experiences, restaurants won't know that there is room for improvement. And there always is.

Be Specific. "The food was good" doesn't cut it.

Each dining experience is unique, so if a dining experience moves you in any way, by all means, share the details. Choose the sensory details that impacted your experience the most and describe them in your postings. Other foodies will gobble it up—literally.

Be Concise. 'Nuf said.

What? We thought it was pretty clear the first time.

Be Helpful. Sort of like how the elves and reindeer help Santa.

Will what you have to say improve the restaurant's ability to provide impeccable service and improve the dining experience for others (again, see number 1)? If so... help away.

Show a Little Pride. No Jane or John Does please.

If you are too embarrassed to put your name as the commenter, you probably should re-evaluate your comments (you know the drill... see number 1). If you have sensitive information that you feel needs to be passed along, please use your best judgment and e-mail it to us to avoid public posting. We don't want you to have any post-post regrets.

Don't Name Names. Let's not get too personal here.

We know you want to share your experiences, both good and bad, but this isn't the place to publicly condemn or praise individual people. Feel free to comment on "the service", "the chef", or "the staff", but any positive or negative mention of specific names will be moderated.
