West Chester Restaurants Yum!
Ryan’s Pub & Restaurant

Ryan’s Pub is one of West Chester’s favorite hideaways. The warm, cozy atmosphere is perfect for students, couples, families and the after work crowd. Ryan’s features specials nightly, as well as live local music on Wednesdays and Sundays!
Sit on the outdoor patio and do some people-watching or site at the grand Irish American bar that is lined on the left with booths for dining and relaxing. Groups can eat on the second floor in the comfortable dining room with a second bar and a pool room!
WC Dish Recommends: Pork sandwiches, nachos, salads.

There needs to be a separate category for “bar” on the site. Ryan’s is a bar, not an Irish restaurant. That said, it’s a good bar that doesn’t pretend to be anything but.

I’ve been to Ryan’s Pub several times. As a fan of the classic Italian style pork sandwhich (best in area is at DiCic’s at Reading Terminal), I thought I’d give Ryan’s Pub a shot on Friday night. Thoughts and comments:
- I’m not sure if there was some kind of beer special - or maybe it was because the Eagles were playing, but as my younger guest commented, “This place is a sausage factory”. I prefer the old school term “Dude Ranch”.
- We both order the pork sandwich. The staff was very friendly and sevice was quick.
- It’s hard to compare a pork sandwhich to DiNic’s, but I have to say it was better than OK. I was surprised the spinach topping was not an option AND it could have been a bit more juicier. The fries were terrible.I respectfully, based on the pork sandwhich only, will give this establishment 6.7 “THAT BLUE YAK” stars out of 10.

Ryan’s has the best slow roasted prime rib………..a delicious flavor and it melts in your mouth! For the price you can’t go wrong !!Try it ! I have friends who come from the Main Line to Ryan’s for the prime rib and “fish of the day”. They love it.
