A delicious combo that will be sure to excite all of your senses is a new event to West Chester – Sound Bites. This happening is designed as a complimentary event to promote The 25th Anniversary of The Turk’s Head Music Festival. Sound Bites is an appetizer if you will to the main entrée, THMF, which happens at Everhart Park on Sunday July 15 2007 featuring eleven bands playing from noon till eight pm.
You can enjoy a great variety of music and tastes and help a good cause. Wrist bands are on sale now at West Chester Recreation, 401 East Gay Street, West Chester for $15.00. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the wrist bands will benefit West Chester Recreation’s, “Send a Kid to Camp Fund”. This wrist band allows you entry into seven great restaurants in the downtown area at no extra cover charge. It also entitles you to some great specials that will be offered at each location.
The venues and bands are as follows:
- Barnaby’s will be hosting Inity a “rough rugged reggae band on the rocks” from 4pm – 8pm (http://www.myspace.com/inity)
- Ryan’s Pub will feature Turk’s Head favorite Rob Dickinson playing acoustically from 7pm – 10pm. (http://www.lifelikemusic.com/)
- Baxter’s will have The Alfred James Band performing their original cello driven rock from 7:30pm – 9:30pm (http://www.alfredjamesband.com/)
- Iron Hill Brewery will host incredible blues talent, Big Leroy Foster from 8pm – 11pm (http://www.BigLeroyFoster.net)
- Kildare’s rocks out with IKE from 10pm – 2am (http://www.ikeonline.net)
- Spence’s Café features a World Café Live sell out band, Funky Butter whose style is a blend of musical genres from jazz to rock 10pm – 2am (http://www.funkybutter.com/)
- Doc Magrogan’s will have “all the groove you need” with Blue Sinatra 10pm – 2am (http://www.bluesinatra.com/)
So come out to enjoy the sounds and tastes at a very reasonable cost and help out the community as well.
